FAQs

What is the Cyber Nations Initiative?

With the innovation economy growing faster than most industries, the need to apply a more inclusive lens is essential. As more companies, industries and countries accelerate their digital transformation, the digital divide will increase without intentional focus on skilling and talent.

The Cyber Nations Initiative was created in Canada by a Coalition of Leaders working together to educate and employ 100,000 African, Caribbean and Canadian learners within the global cyber security industry. Engaging the global workforce to solve one of the planet’s biggest challenges (digital security) is good for business, and great for humanity.

What roles can I train for or hire?

Cybersecurity analysts are tasked with protecting data and systems from compromise. Key jobs available include:

  • Cybersecurity Analysts that perform tasks such as monitoring systems
  • Vulnerability Analysts that are responsible for discovering vulnerabilities and risks
  • Incident Responders that are accountable for dealing with cyber issues
  • Cyber Literacy Coordinators that are responsible for cyber training, awareness, and simulations

Are there admissions requirements to join a training program or have my team join?

What’s the cost of the training program for myself or my team?

Costs vary per region and subsidies may be available for learners with special needs.

What is the average salary paid to graduates of the Cyber Nations program?

A typical entry-level Cybersecurity Analyst can earn between $25,000 to $50,000 per year. Starting salaries vary by region.
